Terms and Conditions for Bilanow

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Bilanow platform and related services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Definitions

“Service” means the Bilanow platform, features, website, and support.
“User” means any individual or organization that uses the Service.
“Content” means information, documents, and files uploaded, generated, or processed within the Service.

3. Eligibility and Account

Provide accurate registration details and maintain credential confidentiality.
You are responsible for activities that occur under your account.
Notify us promptly of unauthorized access or suspected security issues.

4. Service Description

The Service provides digital tools for balance sheet automation and related accounting workflows. Outputs are designed to assist professional review. You remain responsible for independent assessment and decisions based on the outputs.

5. Fees and Billing

Fees are listed on the Pricing page and billed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled via account settings.
Applicable taxes may be added as required by law.

6. Acceptable Use

Do not upload unlawful or harmful material, or content you are not authorized to share.
Do not disrupt, probe, or attempt to bypass platform security or technical controls.
Do not use the Service in violation of applicable laws or third-party rights.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of your Content.
You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Content solely to provide the Service.
You are responsible for records management and backups as needed.

8. Third-Party Services

Integrations or linked services may be operated by third parties. Their terms and privacy practices apply to your use of those services.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not make assurances regarding specific outcomes or timelines. Review outputs and consult a qualified professional when appropriate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bilanow and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Bilanow harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your Content, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may cancel at any time via account settings. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to meet legal requirements. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; certain provisions survive.

13. Service Cancellation and Refund Policy

Monthly plans: cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing cycle. Charges for the ongoing cycle are non-refundable.
Annual plans: cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the term. Pro-rated refunds are not provided unless required by applicable consumer protection law.
Trials/promotions: if available, they convert to paid plans unless cancelled before the stated end date.
Exceptional refunds: considered case-by-case in documented instances of material service unavailability; contact billing@bilanow.com.

14. Modifications to the Service

We may adjust features, introduce new functionality, or discontinue elements to improve reliability or compliance. When feasible, we will provide notice of material changes.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, unless applicable law requires a different venue.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance.
